Joy Spiral Notebook

During a recent trip to Kenya, I met with some orphans in Ombaka who really enjoyed having their pictures taken. I would say, "Na taka picha picha?" to which they would all laugh at my horrible pronunciation of Swahili. Then, they enjoyed seeing themselves on the back of my camera. This one child was so shy, but finally I got him to look at me.

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
