Houston Strong Spiral Notebook

This year has been full of challenges for my hometown of Houston, Texas. We have seen record breaking rains, flooding and mass destruction. Despite all of the heartache and loss that many residents felt, the city rallied together and stood up for another. Neighbor helping neighbor, regardless of race, color or creed. This is one of the many things that I love about my city, we stand together and have each other’s backs. We are still rebuilding, but our city will be bigger and stronger when this is over. Last night, the Houston Astros did something that many said would never happen, they won the World Series. The Houston Astros and their fans are the embodiment of our city’s spirit. We are Houston Strong and last night, the Houston Astros earned history.

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
