Thank you. It was difficult to work on this piece, but I am glad that I did. I feel like it is a way for me to say, I miss you.

Artist's Description

An experience that will forever be engrained on my heart was when Aggie Bonfire fell at Texas A&M University on November 18, 1999. Twelve were killed and I knew seven of them. The events of that night are as crystal clear as if they happened just yesterday. To this day, when I walk out to the site where this occurred, I am overwhelmed with emotions. On that day, I had no emotion, I was focused on helping those who could be saved. As the days went on, the depth of loss gravitated to my soul and pressed my heart with the reality of what had happened. The twelve that were killed were Miranda Adams, Christopher Breen, Michael Eubanks, Jeremy Frampton, Jamie Hand, Christopher Heard, Tim Kerlee, Lucas Kimmel, Bryan McClain, Chad Powell, Jerry Self and Nathan West. Just weeks prior to this tragedy, I had met Chris Heard, who was a freshman in the Corps. He had run up to me on the Quad and whipped out to me. About David Morefield

David Morefield

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
