The city of New Orleans is known for its music, food and nightlife; its like sensory overload. The French influence is present in almost everything that makes up the city, but New Orleans has become much more than a city influenced by the French. The Crescent shaped city has been a major center of commerce in North America since before the Constitution of the United States. Gateway to the Midwest via the Mississippi, New Orleans is one of the most important port cities in the South. Many of the traditions including the music and the food, travelled north via steamboats spreading the unique flavor of the city.
Of course, being one of the oldest ports in the United States, New Orleans has a history with pirates. Jean Lafitte was known to hang out in New Orleans and with the beer, the food, the music and the women, who could blame him.
By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
