Artist's Description

The Hays Street Bridge was built by the Union Pacific Railroad in order to allow people int he neighborhood to safely cross the tracks of their very busy railroad that cuts through neighborhoods in San Antonio. Accessible for pedestrians and bicycles, the Hays Street Bridge is built with spans from an old railroad span that was built in the 1880s. Although there seems to be some debate as to where the original bridge was located, what has become the Hays Street Bridge has stood in San Antonio for around 100 years. This landmark is widely photographed and gives a great view of the San Antonio Skyline.

About David Morefield

David Morefield

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
