Artist's Description
Located at the intersections of Fifth Avenue, Broadway, East 22nd Street and 23rd Street, the Flatiron building is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. Designed by Chicagos Daniel Burnham, the flatiron building gets its name from its shape. Built in 1902, the building was not received with completely positive reactions at the time, but has become a major landmark in New York City.
Currently, there are plans to convert the flatiron building into a hotel, but until the current leases expire, the space continues to be used as office space.
About David Morefield

By David Morefield I started photography for a couple of reason, the main reason was for the pure enjoyment of creating something beautiful. In my past, I have seen some of the greatest horrors known to man, so finding other images to place into my head has been therapeutic. I call it "Image Replacement Therapy." Over time, I had some people ask about buying prints, so I started posting prints for sale and this is how Fluffyshotme Photography was born. I prefer to go out and capture whatever strikes me in the moment and if others like it, then great. My photography is more for me to appreciate, but if others can get enjoyment out of my work, then that brings me a sense of fulfillment. I am interested in travelling the world....
