Brooklyn born pharmacist, Charles Alderton was working in Morrison�s Old Corner Drug Store when he came up with a new flavored drink. As the drink grew in popularity, it became known as a �Waco.� The drink rapidly became popular and to this day, �Dr. Pepper� is a household name in the south.
