Description

This picture was taken way after curfew and my buddy and I got to meet some nice officers from the City of Austin who escorted us out of the park, but not before we got some great shots of the city. Be mindful of the curfews in the city parks of Austin, they aren't playing around. Aside from being the capital of Texas, the city of Austin is the home for South by Southwest (SXSW) and many other great festivals. The river that runs through Austin is affectionately referred to by the locals as "Lake Austin." There is nothing lake about it, it's a river, but I guess that is something only a local could explain. What is really a spectacle to see is the flurry of bats that fly out from under the bridge at sundown. Austin is also the home to the University of Texas.
