Description
This was taken form the foot of the steps leading up to the Dome of the Rock. The sunrise was breathtaking as it creeped over the walls and warmed the steps leading to this historical monument.
The Dome of the Rock is the sit where Muslims believe that Muhammad ascended into heaven. This site also happens to be where the Jewish Synagogue was built by King Soloman; hence the tension between the faiths.
