Description
Just off of Highway 6 between College Station and Waco in the little town of Reagan, TX, you will find the "Aggie Barn." Reagan, TX had a couple cotton gins and was a thriving center of commerce until cotton was no longer the primary crop of the area.
In 1980, the owner of the barn received some wind damage to the barn and during the repairs, decided to paint the Barn Maroon. Little did he know, he had just created a landmark.
This barn put Reagan on the map again and today lets everyone know as they are heading south that they are about to enter Aggieland.
During the 1990s, members of the Corps of Cadets from Texas A&M University starting painting "WHOOP" and their class year on the barn and a tradition was born.
